With Welplan’s Sick Pay Cover, you can provide your team with weekly financial support during certified sickness absence. This benefit helps reduce financial stress for your staff, promoting a quicker, more focused recovery, while also demonstrating your commitment to employee wellbeing.
Our sick pay can be a set amount per week, or a percentage of an employee’s salary and Welplan provides support for up to 52 weeks of continuous absence.
The agreed sick pay is paid to the employer each week for payment to the employee through the normal payroll process.
A lump-sum payment is made if an employee suffers an accident at work or when travelling to and from work, that results in a permanent and total disability, meaning they’re unable to work again in any occupation due to the severity of their injuries. We have paid out more than £5 million in PTDB claims over the last 15 years.
A one-off payment is made if an employee loses, or permanently loses the use of, a limb, hand, foot, digit or sight due to an accident.
