Engineering Construction Industry Association
In May 2006 the Engineering Construction Industry Association (ECIA) chose Welplan as the preferred provider to operate the welfare benefits required for employees engaged in the Engineering Construction Industry.
The Industry’s National Agreement (NAECI) schedules the welfare benefits under Part 111 appendix A12.7 and these may be enhanced and/or extended through Welplan to suit individual employer’s specific requirements.
In June 2008 the ECIA announced that Welplan has been engaged to extend the current Welfare Benefits Scheme to include provision for the provision of Holiday Pay for the Engineering Construction Industry. This element of the scheme has commenced on the 6 October 2008, and provides the Holiday Pay for 2009. Utilising this scheme will enable member companies to provide holiday pay, without the deduction of either employer or employee National Insurance Contributions, and provide the welfare benefits required under NAECI.
Scheme documentation has been issued to member companies and links to copies are provided below.
